Toes in

This is one of two new weblog-based sections of Enterzone. The first was the typical What's New type blog you find at most sites, to report on what's going on at the site.

Orginally, we started this "artsflow" weblog in 1999, after realizing that Enterzone had sort of ground to a halt under the weight of hand-coded updates and a crushing voluntary workload.

We managed to make one entry (!) in November 14, 1999 before we feebed out again.

In the meantime automated weblog content management systems have come a long way.

In 2001, we started publishing artsflow again using LiveJournal, but we never managed to integrate that version of the log into the Enterzone site.

We have now installed Movable Type on the x-pollen server that now houses Enterzone. We'll use MT to maintain the artsflow blog and the zblog (the "what's new" feature for the Enterzone home page).

Here are the next few steps we're planning:

  1. Reenter the 1999 entry (with an updated URL — the hypertext work referred to in it has since moved).

  2. Import the past year's artsflow entries from the LJ version of the blog.

  3. Resume posting hypertext, experimental, independent, and underground arts news!
